Monarchs Add Croucher And Bartuccio-Pereira In Dispersal Draft
Southaven,MS- The FPHL held its dispersal draft today, during which each team was given two selections from the teams that are departing the league. The Monarchs added two players from the Athens Rock Lobsters: Luke Croucher and Jonathan Bartuccio-Pereira.
Croucher is a 26-year-old native of Ancaster, Ontario, and enjoyed a very successful rookie season last year. He recorded 21 goals and 30 assists for a total of 51 points in just 45 games. Luke played his collegiate hockey at Neumann University, a Division III school in Pennsylvania. The forward stands 5'6" and weighs 165 pounds.
Bartuccio-Pereira is a 30-year-old native of Saint-Bruno, Quebec. A veteran of minor professional hockey, Bartuccio-Pereira has split time between the FPHL and SPHL over the past few seasons. Last year, he recorded 2 goals and 5 assists in 15 games with Athens while also posting 6 goals and 5 assists during a 37-game stint in the SPHL. The veteran defenseman stands 6'0" and weighs 192 pounds.
Both players join a Mid-South team that has continued to fill out its roster over the past few days through both the expansion and dispersal drafts.
