Monarchs Add Wren In Trade, Sign Trebes and Kornoushenko

Southaven,MS- The Mid-South Monarchs are proud to announce the acquisition of Jack Wren from the Binghamton Black Bears in exchange for future considerations, as well as the signings of Darrin Trebes and Ilya Kornoushenko.

Wren is a 6-foot-1, 201-pound forward coming from the Syracuse University ACHA program. Last season, the 24-year-old scored 8 goals and recorded 10 assists for a total of 18 points. Jack joins the Monarchs after spending four years with the Syracuse program.

Trebes measures in at 6-foot-0 and 190 pounds and appeared in one game for the Indiana Sentinels last season. He also skated in five games with the Toledo Mobsters of the APHL. In those five games, Trebes recorded six assists.

Kornoushenko is a 20-year-old, 5-foot-11, 181-pound Russian forward who is set to make the jump from junior to professional hockey this season. Ilya had a productive season last year with the Red Bank Generals, scoring 10 goals and recording 12 assists for a total of 22 points.
