Monarchs Find Their Netminder

Southaven,MS- The Mid-South Monarchs are proud to announce the signing of 28-year-old goaltender Tommy Nappier. Standing at 6-foot-3 and 220 pounds, Nappier becomes the first goaltender to sign with the Monarchs for the inaugural 2026-27 season this fall.

Nappier most recently played for the Bristol Pitbulls of the NIHL, where he recorded 26 wins over the course of two seasons. He also has professional experience in both the AHL and ECHL as a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins organization.

Tommy also enjoyed an impressive collegiate career at Division I Ohio State University, where he played over four seasons. During the 2018-19 season, he posted a 12-4-3 record with a .934 save percentage and a 1.86 goals-against average. That outstanding campaign earned him both First Team All-Big Ten honors and the Big Ten Goaltender of the Year award.
